Comparisons with the Previous Quarter and Year

Looking back at the previous quarter (July 2020) and year (October 2019) the difference is shown in the below table:

%Chg Qtr%Chg Year
Oct 2020-39.79%69.08%

The sharp decrease for a comparison with the last quarter was a little concerning. In looking at it more closely, much of this is due to NOBL (ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF) paying out earlier than normal (end of September instead of early October). This was also due to TD (Toronto-Dominion Bank) paying out later than normal (early November instead of late October). Both of these payments could have added $88.02 to the October total which would have brought it to $220.21, which would have been +0.3% higher than the July total ($219.55).

On the other side of the spectrum, there was a substantial increase from October 2019, which is a sign that things continue to move in the right direction. I intend to keep it going.

So there is my summary for October 2020. How was your October? Let me know below in the comments!
