June 2021 Dividends
Hello everyone,
Thanks again for stopping by, I'm overdue for a dividend income summary for the previous month. So, it is time for me to rectify that with an update summarizing my June 2021 dividend income.
So, let's not waste any more time, and get to it.
June 2021 was an all-time high month for dividend income at $763.35. It is great to see these amounts continue to grow. Now let's take a look at my transactions performed in June.
Buys
- Aflac (AFL): 1 share was purchased, which usually happens when I am trying to use up the last of the available money for trading after making other transactions for that week. This 1 share adds $1.32 in forward 12-month income.
- Quest Diagnostics (DGX): 5 shares purchased. This is a new position, as one of the few that still exists at a value. This is due to the fact that its recent earnings performance has been rather good, but the stock price has not been rising at the same rate. So, I have been buying up shares at every opportunity going into July as well. These 5 shares adds $12.40 in forward 12-month income.
- Johnson & Johnson (JNJ): 3 shares purchased, which adds $12.72 in forward 12-month income.
- Microsoft (MSFT): 4 shares purchased, which adds $8.96 in forward 12-month income.
- UGI (UGI): 16 shares were purchased, which adds $22.08 in forward 12-month income.
All totaled, these purchases will add $57.48 in forward 12-month income.

Dividend Income History
Now let's take a look at dividend income history in tabular and graphical form.
As mentioned before, June 2021 was an all-time high for dividend income. Chances are, I'll be hitting all-time highs pretty regularly for the 3rd month of the quarter as long as I am able to keep contributing to the portfolio.
Comparison with Previous Quarter and Year
Now, taking a look at some comparisons with the previous quarter and year,
The June 2021 income has increased 7.7% compared with 3 months prior, and 61.05% compared with June 2020. For further comparison, the income for Q2 2021 compared with Q1 2021 showed a 12.24% increase, and when compared with Q2 2020, there was a nice 39.43% increase.
These are all signs that things are going in the right direction. With being able to regularly invest, the dividend income is on a steady rise. Thankfully, there have been no dividend cuts to slow it down.
